About Fundraising

The Need For Fundraising…

Guest Conductors, New Instruments, Leading Edge Music Compositions and Sectional Technicians are just a few reasons why it’s important to participate in the fundraising activities that support the Harrison High Band Boosters.  While fees cover approximately 50% of the actual costs each year, it is through the fundraising efforts of every family, whether in Curricular Band Class or Marching Band, that allows the budget to balance. Each fundraiser has been designed for maximum potential and wherever possible a portion of your fundraising efforts benefit your student. Most of the fundraisers at HHBB have been designed so the student may learn a new skill and gain confidence in their ability to accept partial responsibility for ensuring their selected activity is financially possible.  A student’s participation in a fundraiser gives them a sense of achievement and ownership in the Band Program as a whole.

Start Early, and Keep at It

Our top fundraising families participate in year-round activities, spreading out the effort and avoiding a feeling of time-crunch when band fees become due. RaiseRight is one of our most popular year-round activities, with families earning rebates on every day purchases. The RH Events programs allow families to work together at local festivals, corporate events and similar activities, earning hourly rates for their efforts. Fundraising is most successful when all qualifying family members participate. And our ever-popular Plant Sales and Barbeque Boston Butt Sales help you prepare your home and family for seasonal activities while contributing to our fundraising efforts.
