How does it work?
All you have to do is drop off the form to the authorized official and have him/her mail it back in. Please remember to follow-up with a phone call a week after you drop off the information.
We will post a list of the secured Corporate Sponsors in the band hall so you do not call on someone more than once. If you have a Corporate Sponsor from last year, remember to check the list, as the sponsorship is good for one year and you will have the option of going back to see if they want to renew, before someone else tries to secure them. One year after the sponsorship has been sold the family who originally sold the sponsorship will have one month to re-solicit the company. If that family does not re-sell the sponsorship to the company, it will be placed on an available list and will be open to any band student to solicit the renewed sponsorship.
Before you solicit a company for a sponsorship, check the list of companies that have already bought sponsorships. The list is posted in the hallway & published in the newsletter. Please do not solicit these companies. Wear Harrison attire. Ask to speak with a manager. Show them the sponsorship brochure, so they can see what they are buying. Make sure the form is completely filled out so we can send a thank-you note. More brochures are available in the band room.
When you sell a sponsorship, place the check, form, and artwork/business card if applicable, in an envelope. Write “Corp Sponsorship” on the outside of the envelope and place it in the drop box.
